Tengo un error como este después de intentar compilar mis aplicaciones en Emulator

No sé qué causa este error. Después de cavar alguna respuesta que tiene un error similar (pero en aleteo) Problema . Pero aún no resolvió mi problema.

Intenté actualizar la versión de androidx.core:core-ktx:1.6.0 y luego sincronizar o invalidar el caché/reiniciar. Pero ninguno de ellos me da buen resultado. Estoy seguro de que ayer mi proyecto estaba bien con la misma dependencia. Alguien, por favor, ayúdeme, si esta pregunta no está clara, permítame agregar más información. Gracias
